Medical Surgical Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required from last 12 months.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Clinicians with 2+ years of experience in hospital/medical center setting will be prioritized.

Required Credentials: References - one supervisory performance eval/reference from within 2 years of employment/contract.

Unit/Facility: Unit Info: Bed Size: 22 bed. Patient Types: General med surg. Drips: Heparin.

Shift & Scheduling: No Call; Every other weekend including holiday rotation if scheduled. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend including holiday rotation if scheduled. On Call Requirements: None.

2025 Holidays:

Winter holidays: Required to work 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist.

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 2 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
