Medical Receptionist

Under general supervision, the Medical Receptionist coordinates and performs a variety of administrative and operational support duties for a physician practice or clinical care center. This role is cross-trained in both front and back office functions, providing flexibility to fill in for any position as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform various administrative and operational support tasks.
• Manage both front and back office functions efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
• Utilize electronic health records effectively in daily operations.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical reception or hospital settings.
• Proficiency in electronic health records.
• Strong customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a pediatric healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional need to stay until 5:30 PM. No weekend or holiday work is required. The role involves floating between Hartford and Farmington locations, with schedules provided well in advance. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
