Oncology/Hematology Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities include performing routine diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens independently, performing, validating, interpreting, documenting, and reporting laboratory test results, performing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, executing and evaluating quality control and quality assurance procedures, understanding and participating in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing, assisting with data collection or special projects, assisting in documentation, evaluation, and submission of all required laboratory, departmental, and staff statistics/reports, and training and mentoring Medical Lab Technicians, new associates, and students.

Requirements include licensure or certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification or the American Board of Bioanalysis or the American Medical Technologists, and a high school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or an associate's degree, or a technical degree.
