Position: Medical Center Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and collect medical histories to determine donor suitability.
• Create a positive rapport with donors to ensure their satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality for donors and staff.
• Identify and inform donors about potential hazards.
• Educate donors about general health and discuss any adverse test results.
• Assess and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Review health history and medication use to ensure continued donor eligibility.
• Assist in training staff members.
• Oversee the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

Qualifications

• Valid certification and licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT in your state.
• Current CPR certification is required.

• Capability to bend, twist, and perform hand and foot movements as necessary.
• Light lifting abilities (up to 50 lbs) and necessary vision requirements for the role.
• Strong communication skills for effective information sharing.
• Ability to work independently while following instructions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing job demands and conditions.
• Experience handling sensitive information with diverse groups.
• Willingness to work in a plasma center with possible exposure to biological materials and cold environments; personal protective gear will be provided.
