Full-Time, Medical Billing A/R Analyst

Responsibilities include:

• Review, analyze, and resolve unpaid and denied claims
• Recommend denials prevention strategies
• Improve payment turnaround times
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections processes.
• Communicate with insurance companies to follow up on claims and reimbursement status and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Document and update patient records regarding billing information and status.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards.
• Generate and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable.
• Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Ensure accuracy in billing and collections
• Track outstanding payments and ensure payments are not underpaid based on the contracted rates

Requirements and Skills:

• 3+ years' experience in medical or healthcare accounts receivable required
• 3+ years' experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Procedure Coding required
• Gastroenterology (gastro) billing or coding experience preferred
• AS in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Certifications: AMBA CRCR, or AMBA CMRS preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
