We are seeking dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Medical Assistants/X-ray Technicians to become part of our healthcare team.

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care operates 20 locations in Tennessee as an affiliate of Urgent Team, a prominent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. We pride ourselves on offering quality and affordable family healthcare with more than 80 locations under various brands.

Our Services:
Our walk-in centers provide extensive healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week with flexible hours to accommodate our patients.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician will deliver essential clinical care to patients and perform x-ray testing, demonstrating an understanding of anatomy and physiology. We offer both full-time positions with a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours a week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend, as well as PRN (per diem) opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients warmly and assist them throughout their visit.
• Communicate wait times and next steps effectively to enhance patient experience.
• Provide solutions for patient concerns and seek help during emergencies.
• Make follow-up calls with urgency and care.
• Support front desk staff with patient check-in/out procedures as needed.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by providers.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Complete necessary documentation related to patient visits.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, and preferably a minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience. Medical Assistant Certificate and ARRT certification are also preferred.
