ABOUT ASCENSION SAINT THOMAS URGENT CARE:
Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care operates 20 locations across Tennessee and is a proud affiliate of Urgent Team, a leader in urgent and family care in the Southeast. Our centers provide high-quality, affordable healthcare services, including treatments for injuries and illnesses, along with occupational health and wellness care, all in a convenient walk-in format. We are open seven days a week to serve our patients.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech is vital in delivering essential clinical care to patients, performing x-ray procedures, and utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Our full-time staff generally works a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts and every-other weekend. As a PRN team member, you will be scheduled based on the needs of the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the expectations of this role but are not exhaustive. Other responsibilities may be assigned:

• Welcome patients warmly upon their arrival in waiting and exam rooms.
• Communicate wait times to patients and guide them through the treatment process.
• Troubleshoot patient issues and recognize when to seek assistance in emergencies.
• Conduct follow-up calls with a proactive approach.
• Assist front desk staff with check-in/out procedures as needed.
• Document patient vital signs, history, and other relevant information accurately.
• Facilitate patient transfers and support procedures directed by the provider.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while following safety and care protocols.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to patient visits according to established procedures.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To qualify for this position, candidates should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
• Medical Assistant Certification and ARRT certification (preferred)
