Medical Assistant Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Medical Assistant to support our partnership Kako'o!

Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Fri 8am-4:30pm, Must be flexible to work 1 evening a week, or every other week and an occasional Saturday 7am-12pm.

Position Overview:

This position provides medical assistant services in support of patient care and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Taking a patient's history and personal information upon arrival of appointment
• Responsible for tracking of some reports
• Checking patient vitals and provide assistance to physician in office
• Screens walk-in patients for eligibility for treatment
• Handle light administrative duties; schedule appointments of patients.
• Handle/triage patient to staff questions.
• Maintains and stock forms and inventory needed at front desk.
• Performs various other clerical tasks to assist clinical staff members

Requirements:

• Required: Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant program
• Active BLS certification required from American Heart Association
• *Must be a U.S. citizen
• Updated immunizations with proof
• Must have either an active passport with current legal name or DMV's Driver's License with real ID
