Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is part of Urgent Team, one of the premier operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, with multiple locations across Alabama. We provide quality, convenient healthcare services, including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week, ensuring we meet the needs of our community.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Medical Assistant and X-Ray Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering essential clinical care. You will perform x-ray testing and assist in patient movements using your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Our full-time positions involve a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) roles are also available and scheduled as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be expected to:

• Greet patients promptly and professionally as they arrive.
• Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their care.
• Provide assistance in resolving patient issues, recognizing when to seek help in urgent situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency and care.
• Support the front desk team with patient check-in/out processes as needed.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, history, medications, allergies, and relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the supervision of the provider.
• Ensure proper documentation practices are followed consistently for each patient visit.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certificate and ARRT certification are preferred.
