***This Engineering position can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer level. Please refer to the minimum qualifications below for each level.***
Expected salary range:
- Entry-Level - $85,000
- Mid-Level - $90,000 - $110,000
- Senior Level - $117,000 - $143,000
Salary ranges are annual and will vary based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401K plan.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations. You will be responsible for making technical decisions, drawing on a solid understanding of functional disciplines and applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Provide technical consultation and support through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Oversee complete task management of engineering issues.
- Perform engineering tasks assigned by supervision using fundamental engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Fulfill additional job assignments and duties as directed by management, which may include emergency response duties, department coverage, and support for outage activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
For Entry Level E01 Engineer – New Graduate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Meet minimum access requirements or unescorted access needs, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing relevant to position duties.
For Mid-level E02 Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Meet minimum access requirements or unescorted access needs, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing relevant to position duties.
For Senior E03 Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience.
- Meet minimum access requirements or unescorted access needs, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing relevant to position duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or related coursework.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies, valve testing, wireless sensor infrastructure, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
