Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC components of construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather information and resolve potential issues.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and provide mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and submit budget proposals and cost-tracking reports.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals for completeness, price, and compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on cost-related matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market rates, and new technologies to ensure competitive pricing.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical/HVAC Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
• Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Professional certification in estimating or project management is a plus.
