Job Details
Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and products by conducting research, applying knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
Develop mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Ensure project completion by conducting tests; modifying designs as necessary.
Provide engineering support by responding to requests for mechanical designs; answering inquiries; training employees.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Use Solidworks to create detailed designs and models, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
Estimate budget and scope of project.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Extensive experience with Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application.
Proven experience in product development and design.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well in a team and to lead projects.
Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot potential problems before they occur.
A creative and innovative approach to engineering, with a constant eye for improvement.
