Actalent is Urgently Hiring Mechanical Design Engineers
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for the engineering design of HVAC systems and overall MEP systems. This role includes construction administration and project management for a variety of institutional projects. You will play a key role in delivering technically sound, code-compliant, and efficient designs from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and support overall MEP engineering efforts.
• Conduct load calculations, site surveys, and field inspections.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and design documentation.
• Review and coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NYS Energy Code, Mechanical Code, Building Code, NFPA).
• Manage projects from design development through construction administration.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with at least 4 years of design experience.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $57.68/hr.
