Mechanical assemblers are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies, ensuring high-quality and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Reading and deciphering schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Using hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press fits.
• Mounting assembled components like transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits on chassis panels.
• Connecting component wires to circuits and connecting wires between individual component leads.
• Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Tending to machines and adjusting or trimming materials from components.
• Positioning or aligning components and parts using hand tools or machines.
• Conducting quality control checks to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment, including tools.
• Preparing work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary materials.
• Verifying specifications by measuring completed components and resolving assembly issues.
• Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Ensuring a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Managing inventory by checking stock levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserving resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr.
