                                JOB SUMMARY   
The Material Handler is responsible for utilizing change management best practices to ensure the accurate release and update of engineering data, coordinating approvals and implementation of enterprise changes, and facilitating clear communication with cross-functional teams. This role involves supporting technical data changes, leading assigned engineering projects, and providing technical expertise to ensure successful execution of product improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

                        The Material Handler is responsible for utilizing change management best practices to ensure the accurate release and update of engineering data, coordinating approvals and implementation of enterprise changes, and facilitating clear communication with cross-functional teams. This role involves supporting technical data changes, leading assigned engineering projects, and providing technical expertise to ensure successful execution of product improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support technical data changes through the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, project engineers, marketing, production, quality, purchasing, and vendors on product improvement and cost reduction projects.
- Apply engineering principles to components and systems including design, bill of materials creation, 3D modeling, assembly, analysis, and quality testing.
- Provide programming logic for bill of material generation through a configurator application.
- Create and revise engineering documentation to reflect current practices and procedures.
- Support projects and teams related to Engineering Systems applications.
- Manage shifting priorities with effective multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements during occasional factory visits (up to 2x per week).
- Facilitate closure of defunct parts and addition of new part names as needed.
- Communicate effectively across multiple time zones and with global teams.
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience as a Change Coordinator in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Pro-E/CREO, PDMLink, and configured products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet timelines and budgets.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, CAD systems, content management systems, and IT system interactions.
- General knowledge of engineering and manufacturing policies and operations (production control, quality control, electrical or industrial engineering).
- Ability to understand business processes and integrate them using information system tools.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must have good multi-tasking skills and flexibility to shifting priorities.
- English language fluency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant product, project, or support engineering experience.
- Experience with valves, pumps, electric motors, and other electro-mechanical products.
- Familiar with fluid applications, pressure vessel design, and valves.
- 3D CAD software expertise (Pro/E, Creo preferred).
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management software (Windchill preferred).
- Experience with residential and commercial building HVAC equipment.
- Working knowledge of MS Project.
- Exposure to regulatory/listing agencies (UL, FM, CSA, CE).
- One or more years of experience using PTC Windchill and PTC Creo Parametric (including Creo Simulate).
- Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
None required, though relevant CAD/PLM software certifications are a plus.
