Material Handler / Assembler

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our first shift. The role involves pulling parts to transport to the assembly team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate stand up forklift to pull materials from warehouse racks
• Assist with assembling units
• Engage in fast-paced production and assembly, lifting 60lbs+ to fit products together
• Collaborate with a team member to fulfill daily product orders
• Perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods

Essential Skills:

• Operating stand forklift or reach truck
• Competence in operating an overhead crane
• Mechanical skills and proficiency in using a tape measure
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs+ independently and engage in repetitive movements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is not required while on contract but must be obtained within a certain time frame upon conversion to permanent status.
• Company offers a funded GED program once hired directly.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a well-organized and large manufacturing floor, with clearly labeled sections for materials and production. The first shift operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the potential to work until 4:30 PM if necessary.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
