Material and Process Engineer, Manufacturing Technology

Overview

Material and Process Engineer, Manufacturing Technology at Anduril Industries. This role focuses on materials and manufacturing processes for autonomous maritime defense systems. The engineer is an effective individual contributor with hands-on engineering and computational work, willing to learn quickly and deliver consistently.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in daily stand-ups to confirm tasks and needed resources.
• Work on the shop floor installing or supporting laser welding equipment, reading drawings, and ensuring equipment setup meets requirements.
• Develop work instructions for new polymer 3D printing systems and plan Site Acceptance testing.
• Research ASTM test coupons and perform literature reviews to substantiate material and process choices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical or related engineering
• Experience with engineering software such as Microsoft Excel/Project, MATLAB, SolidWorks, NX or other CAD, ANSYS
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment (extruders, machine tools, welding, additive manufacturing, press brakes, stamping)
• Experience with automated or computer-controlled machines and factory software
• Experience in quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO13485, ITAF 16949, AS9100)
• Experience working under OSHA safety requirements
• Experience with industry testing standards such as ASTM and ISO
• Travel estimated at 15-25% to Anduril and vendor sites
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export controlled information or facilities

Location and Compensation

US Salary Range: $128,000—$192,000 USD. Benefits and compensation details are provided during the hiring process and may vary by role and location. Anduril offers equity grants and comprehensive benefits.
