Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods.
Ensure successful product launches with strategic planning of process routings, tooling, gauging, and fixturing.
Promote continuous enhancements to refine core manufacturing capabilities, focusing on efficiency and quality improvements.
Manage capital projects that underpin business growth and facilitate expansion into new markets.
Create extensive manufacturing instructions including Bill of Materials (BOMs), process schematics, and assembly directions.
Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure alignment of manufacturing processes with both technical expectations and customer requirements.
Explore and implement process improvements and cost-reduction strategies employing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
Drive engineering changes and process adjustments to maximize production efficiency and output quality.
Interface directly with clients to develop solutions that optimize both functionality and cost-efficiency in manufacturing.
Provide precise costing estimates for new and existing products through detailed process evaluations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role, specifically within industries using CNC machining and welding.
Proficient understanding of material behaviors in manufacturing contexts.
Demonstrated expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) along with strong technical documentation skills.
Experienced with various CAD software, ideally Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in weld engineering and additive manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with hydrostatic pressure testing and heat treating processes.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems like Visual MFG, Global Shop, or JD Edwards.
Solid grounding in manufacturing methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and SPC.

Skills:

Advanced skills in project management and cross-functional leadership.
Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a keen eye for detail in process optimization.
Proven capability in Lean manufacturing principles to drive process improvements and efficiency.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels including customers and internal teams.
Ability to provide thorough cost analysis and economic justifications for manufacturing processes.
