The Opportunity

This position is a onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we're committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer , you will work under limited supervision. Applies subject matter knowledge in the area of Pharmaceutical/Biological Process. Requires capacity to apply skills/knowledge within the context of specific needs or requirements. Provide support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met. Monitor performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. Interface with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area. This is an onsite opportunity in Austin, TX.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or any engineering or technical degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing engineering experience.

  n

• n

  Medical device experience required. International manufacturing experience preferred.

• n

  Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.

  n

• n

  Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings. Six Sigma certification preferred.

• n

  Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  Exposure to Six Sigma Green Belt techniques with the DMAIC process to find/implement root cause remediations.

  Regulated industry experience to document all actions involving changes to established processes.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 - $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
