Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern

Our client , a leading manufacturer company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a student pursuing an Industrial Engineering degree, at least in their sophomore year of college. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and analytical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern

Location: Grand Prairie, TX

Pay Range: $27 per hour

Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / Part-time: up to 25 hours onsite per week

Duration: 6 month internship

  Conduct time and motion studies to understand current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  Assist in line balancing to optimize labor distribution across key areas of manufacturing.

• n

  Support the development and implementation of standard work procedures.

  n

• n

  Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.

  n
n
• n

  Assist in designing and creating fixtures or devices to enhance workflow efficiency.

  n
n
• n

  Document findings and present actionable ideas for improvement to leadership.

What's Needed?

  Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (Sophomore year minimum).

  Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (Green Belt certification ???).

• n

  Experience with AutoCAD

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with time studies and line balancing concepts.

  n

• n

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, self-sufficient use).

• n

  Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
