Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Job Shop & Process Optimization
Location: Waukesha, WI (On-Site)
Overview:
A growing, engineering-led manufacturer in Waukesha, WI is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer with job shop experience to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and support shop floor operations. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with operators, machinists, and leadership to drive improvements and solve real-time issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and document processes for new and existing jobs
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on the floor
  
• Collaborate with operators, quality, and engineering
  
• Use SolidWorks and SigmaNest for layouts and tool design
  
• Lead improvement projects around cycle times, scrap, and throughput
  
• Support quoting through estimating and feasibility input
  
• Maintain and improve documentation of tools, processes, and specs
  
• Work with purchasing and vendors to spec materials and tooling
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving efforts
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in a job shop
  
• Strong hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, and machining
  
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SigmaNest
  
• Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  
• Comfortable solving problems in real-time
  
• Good communicator across functions and levels
  
• Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
