Summary

Provides direction to staff technologists and support personnel to achieve a coordinated effort of the adjunct, yet distinct imaging service. Maintains inventory status, time sheets, statistic and other data as required. Coordinates the activities of special imaging services with diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensures all staff are trained and oriented to hospital, position and departmental policy. Ensures that staff comply with hospital policies, quality assurance plans for each modality, environment of care competencies and requirement of regulatory standards. Fosters a positive and creative work environment for all modalities within imaging. Participates in Associate Engagement initiatives. Compliance: Monitors compliance of the imaging department quality standards, including image quality, correct patient identification and anatomical markers. Establishes benchmark target for repeat/reject rate for all modalities. Compiles monthly report for Director and implement action plans for maintaining standards. Consistently updates and reviews CT protocols to be compliant with JC standards. Performance Improvement: Completes the performance management process for all imaging associates according to the HR policy. All reviews need to be completed prior to review date established by HR. Develops and implements effective processes as deemed necessary by department.

Experience Required: * 3-5 years Minimum of (5) years as R.T. with at least (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred. Must have full knowledge of the operations of the equipment within an Imaging department including computer systems correlated with the department.

Education Required: * Associate's Degree Graduate of AMA-JCH approved program in Radiological Technology is required. Licenses And Certification: Required: * Basic Life Support * Radiographer License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
