Program Overview

• 12 weeks in duration.
• Comprehensive training provided by SimonMed Imaging, both didactic and clinical.
• Expand your expertise and knowledge of breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Become proficient in using mammography equipment and software.
• Board preparation.

What you’ll do:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams with precision to ensure exceptional image quality.
• Learn and master mammography techniques through hands-on cross-training.
• Position patients accurately and prioritize their safety and comfort.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, adhering to safety and quality control FDA/MQSA standards.
• Collaborate directly with radiologists and follow protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow all compliance protocols for imaging.
• Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging practices.

Who you are:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography required with a current state licensure.
• 1+ yrs of X-Ray Technologist experience with an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, or equivalent, from an accredited program.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong knowledge of x-ray fundamentals, practice ALARA.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

It would be a plus if you also have experience in:

• Outpatient or ambulatory setting.
• Other modalities.
