Position Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is vital in providing quality patient care and obtaining mammographic images to assist in accurate diagnoses by radiologists. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring patient comfort during imaging procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and demonstrate competency in all required mammographic procedures and equipment operation.
• Greet patients, take their history, and enter information into the computer system.
• Obtain high-quality mammographic images following established protocols.
• Maintain the cleanliness of examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
• Assist in the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR).
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide a positive patient experience through clear communication and understanding.
• Coordinate effectively with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Stay informed about follow-up procedures and requirements to guide patients through the process.
• Contribute to team success through mentoring new hires and assisting in various operational needs as assigned.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certified.
• Diagnostic Mammography certified or willing to obtain within 180 days.
• Prior experience with electronic medical records is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine.
• 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds for imaging purposes.
• Vision correctable to 20/20 for equipment operation and film review.
