Mammography Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate mammography equipment and conduct various related procedures.
• Develop and evaluate films for technical quality, ensuring optimal density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Educate patients, especially women, on the importance of regular mammograms for preventive breast health.
• Maintain and prepare records and files, along with cleaning and adjusting equipment as necessary.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Utilize your experience and judgment effectively to meet goals.
• Perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision.
• Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be registered as a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• Current Radiology and Mammography license in the required state.
• Valid hands-on CPR certification is a must.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role involves lifting and carrying items up to 40 pounds, sitting for extended periods, and frequent standing and walking.

DRESS ATTIRE: Business casual or scrubs, depending on departmental requirements.
