Maintenance Welder

As a Maintenance Welder, you will be responsible for welding frames and parts for industrial vacuum systems used in sewage trucks. You will utilize MIG welding with .035 wire and custom blueprints, adapting to various truck types. Additionally, you will cross-train with the assembly team, perform final checks on parts, and complete final assembly to ensure the product's readiness.

Responsibilities

• Weld frames and parts for industrial vacuum systems using MIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret custom blueprints based on truck types.
• Cross-train with the assembly team to conduct final checks on parts.
• Complete final assembly to finish the product.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in stainless steel and mild steel welding.
• Experience with MIG welding, 2-3+ years preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 2-3+ years preferred.
• Experience using calipers and micrometers for quality checks.
• Fabrication, TIG welding, fitting, and structural welding skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, with the opportunity for 40+ hours per week. The work environment is clean and organized.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
