Our client, a leader in the refrigeration industry, is seeking a Technician - Refrigeration to join their team. As a Technician - Refrigeration, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, aligning successfully with the organization's goals.
Job Title: Technician - Refrigeration
Location: Sterling, Virginia
Pay Range: $ per hour
What's the Job?
- Operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment.
- Perform planned maintenance on all ammonia refrigeration and utility systems.
- Conduct daily rounds and inspections of temperatures and conditions of the ammonia system.
- Complete all applicable documentation as required and directed by the department manager.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Must have GCAP and/or RETA combined with EPA Type II Certification.
- At least 2 years of hands-on ammonia experience.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test and pulmonary function test.
- Willingness to complete a 24-hour HAZMAT class.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and electrical/electronic systems.
