Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence across multiple restaurant locations. This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinating preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring all restaurant facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit foodservice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across a portfolio of restaurant locations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Oversee inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance for HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and foodservice equipment.
• Lead a team of technicians or external vendors to complete work orders in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure kitchen and FOH/BOH equipmentincluding fryers, ovens, grills, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and POS systemsare fully functional and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Help manage company facilities budget
• Create systems to ensure all Planned Maintenance is complete
• Create trainings for in restaurant maintenance teams
• Ensure company is compliance with all Corporate Standards
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Simple Think to schedule, track, and document maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls, to reduce downtime and protect food safety and customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials for timely repairs.
• Collaborate with restaurant managers and regional leaders to identify recurring issues, implement solutions, and support capital improvement projects.
• 85% of the job is being hands on and in the field.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company policies.
• Report Weekly reports to Supervisor (state of the business with a facilities update)
• Duties are not limited to just facilities, as there may be task assigned by Supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably in a restaurant, hospitality, or retail setting.
• 12 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment repair.
• Working knowledge of POS systems, low-voltage systems, and basic IT troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using CMMS/Simple Think platforms and digital tools for scheduling and reporting.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; regional travel required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA Refrigerant Certification (Universal)
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Experience in QSR or full-service franchise operations.
