Job Summary

This role is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery.

Job Responsibilities

1. Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs highly diversified maintenance operations on plant production and facility equipment, according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives
2. Performs scheduled plant preventative maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as well as emergency and unscheduled repairs with the objective of optimizing plant performance and plant operating efficiency
3. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
4. Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
5. Weld and use cutting torch as required
6. Perform general repairs to plant structures
7. Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
8. Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with Head Mechanic for approval and repair as needed
9. Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls and circuit boards
10. Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
11. Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
12. Replace and install parts as needed
13. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
14. Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent, or comparable in training, education or experience
• Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential
• Experience working with PremierTech and Hamar manufacturing lines required
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry or related field preferred
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear
• The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time
• The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level. The need to lift over 65 lbs. may arise from time to time should this be the case; employees should engage in team lifting and/or use the provided equipment to safely lift
• The employee must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing pulling, stooping and reaching

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $30-$35/hr
