Maintenance Manager II

BAE Systems is looking for a Maintenance Manager II to join our CMS team with primary oversight of manufacturing maintenance activities. As a Maintenance Manager II, you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance performance at the York, PA site with a focus on:

1. Leading, managing, and supervising various union workforce crafts, vendors, and contractors on multiple shifts responsible for maintaining and repairing site infrastructure and equipment.
2. Maintaining positive and productive working relationships with Operations Leadership and the union workforce. Supporting site customers by working in a safe, customer-centric manner.
3. Attracting, retaining, and developing talent and executing a cohesive strategy to create an inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce. Ensuring necessary training and qualifications for maintenance personnel.
4. Effective use of industry benchmarks and metrics/KPI's that define best-in-class performance.
5. Applying a continuous improvement mindset to maintenance. Excelling at technical and non-technical problem solving, root cause and corrective action implementation, and leading a team of managers and supervisors through complex problem solving.
6. Establishing preventive maintenance scope and frequency. Reviewing existing plans for accuracy and best practice. Prioritizing maintenance to reduce downtime through effective planning and scheduling. Identifying PdM applications and developing implementation plans.
7. Setting priorities, performing forecasting, and allocating resources to complete all repairs and projects related to corrective maintenance, while minimizing equipment downtime.
8. Using lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize workflow, streamline internal processes, and minimize equipment downtime.
9. Utilizing Oracle eAM CMMS to schedule, track, and report on equipment and infrastructure maintenance, service request/work orders, and trouble calls; ensuring all maintenance team employees are following established practices.
10. Managing facility equipment and tooling spare parts inventories to ensure operational readiness.
11. Being highly self-motivated and on call for emergencies.
12. Thinking strategically to plan effective changes in the organization.
13. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
14. Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years in a similar managerial role or equivalent experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Good computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with reliability centered maintenance planning and predictive maintenance
• Experience with development and execution of budgets.
• Experience with metalworking equipment including machining centers, waterjets, lasers, blast booths, paint booths, and cranes.
• Experience in cost reduction planning and execution.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing planning schedules and staffing.
• Experience in construction, operations, test and commissioning; preventive and corrective maintenance
• Intimate knowledge of utility market landscape, dynamics, and regulatory requirements

Pay Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
