Maintenance Lead Tech - Sadlers
The primary role of the Industrial Lead Technician is to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and utilization of plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems. This is accomplished by utilizing electrical and mechanical expertise in the precise design, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of plant systems and equipment followed by concise and accurate documentation of all activities and observations.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates and supervises the activities of personnel involved works closely with all plant personnel to support improved electrical, electronic, and computerized control system reliability as well as efficient and cost-effective use of plant resources.
- Supports the improvement of asset reliability
- Requires excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills and the ability to read and work from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical manuals, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and control schematics.
- This includes wide temperature ranges (-20 F to 100 F), various elevations (ground floor, work platforms, ladders, and manlifts), and various floor conditions (dry to wet and slippery). Requires light to heavy lifting typical of maintenance activities.
- Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to design, install, program, operate, maintain, and repair plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems.
- Monitor and record system performance and adjust to assure the safe and efficient operation of plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems.
- Initiate and perform condition monitoring tasks including preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures to ascertain possible failure modes and participate with operations, plant engineering, suppliers, and other associates to improve equipment reliability.
- Utilize the company's Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and supports its use as a key management information tool.
- Recommend, develop, and implement system modifications to improve equipment operations and provide for attainment of plant and department goals.
- Provide direction and training for less skilled maintenance personnel and machine operators.
- Be an example of HPS/MMOS for the team.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and hot temperatures both inside and outside the plant. The employee may be required to work in congested areas and must use caution while operating equipment through tight spaces.
Physical Demands: Requires light to heavy lifting typical of maintenance activities. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Frequent use/motion of hands, wrists and arms are required. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. 40+ hours per week. Hours of work: Monday through Friday, start and finish time varies depending on workload. 10 12 hour work days are common. Weekends and overtime hours are often required. Schedule is subject to change with or without advance notice.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in maintenance or related field
- An associate degree in industrial Electronics or U.S. Department of Labor approved journeyman certificate.
- Technical experience designing, programming, operating and maintaining industrial control systems.

- Must have strong problem solving skills, ability to think logically/rationally
