Pay Rate: $17 an hour

Job Overview: As a Janitor, you play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees, visitors, and customers within the organization. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

   Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas regularly.

   n

   Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, door handles, and high-touch areas to maintain a hygienic environment.

   n

Trash Removal:

1. n

   Empty and replace trash bags in waste receptacles.

   n
n
2. n

   Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.

   n
n

Floor Care:

n
1. n

   Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.

   n
n
2. n

   Clean and maintain carpets by vacuuming and using carpet cleaning equipment as needed.

   n
n

Window and Glass Cleaning:

n
1. n

   Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.

   n
n
2. n

   Ensure a streak-free and polished appearance.

   n
n

Dusting and Polishing:

n
1. n

   Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

   n

2. n

   Wipe down desks, chairs, and other office furniture.

   n
n

Restocking Supplies:

1. n

   Monitor and replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.

   n

2. n

   Inform the appropriate personnel when supplies are running low.

   n
n

Outdoor Maintenance:

1. n

   Sweep entryways and outdoor areas.

   n
n
2. n

   Remove debris from sidewalks and parking areas.

   n
n

Equipment Operation:

n
1. n

   Operate and maintain janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.

   n

2. n

   Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

   n
n

Reporting Issues:

1. n

   Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.

   n
n
2. n

   Notify supervisors of any health or safety hazards.

   n
n

Adherence to Safety Guidelines:

1. n

   Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

   n

2. n

   Use personal protective equipment as required.

   n
n

Qualifications:

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is a plus.

  Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.

  Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
