The Maintenance & Engineering Supervisor contributes to the success of the Indianapolis Gatorade Facility by providing maintenance leadership for plant operation. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift. This person will lead a team of frontline employees within the maintenance department (mechanics/technicians).

Responsibilities

1. Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity
2. Implement process enhancements to improve package and flavor changeover efficiency
3. Utilize visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance
4. Build maintenance technician capability
5. Track standard manufacturing and warehouse metrics and prioritize plant maintenance opportunities
6. Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
7. Deploy strategies in reliability fundamentals that develop technician competencies
8. Develop a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
9. Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
10. Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
11. Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
12. Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
13. Administer policies and procedures
14. Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
15. Prioritize work requests
16. This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
17. This role requires lifting to 40 lbs. occasionally
18. This role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
19. This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
20. This role may require off-shift and weekend work
21. This role may require some travel (less than 5%)

Compensation & Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300 - $107,650.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
• Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.
• Mechanical experience maintaining equipment
• Understanding of PLC programing preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
• Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
