UniFirst is looking for a dedicated and dependable Maintenance Custodian to enhance our vibrant community. As a crucial member of the Maintenance Department, you will engage in vital cleaning and housekeeping tasks throughout our facility, including office spaces, kitchen areas, common zones, production floors, restrooms, and outside grounds. Enjoy a standard Monday to Friday workweek, with occasional overtime opportunities during nights and weekends. We are ready to provide immediate training to get you started on the right foot!

Compensation & Benefits:

Your Responsibilities:

• Utilize cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, floor scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure restrooms, kitchens, and breakroom areas are always clean and well-stocked.
• Manage waste by removing trash and placing it in designated locations.
• Maintain clean windows and ensure all furniture is dusted appropriately.
• Assist in relocating lightweight furniture and replacing light bulbs as needed.
• Perform cleaning operations throughout office areas, production floors, and outside facilities as assigned.
• Take on additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

We're seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• At least 18 years required for tasks involving heights and electrical work.
• Preferably holds a high school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning tools effectively.
• Proficient in reading and understanding instructions in English.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
