Our client, a leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a Forming Machine Operator I to join their team. As a Forming Machine Operator, you will be part of the operations department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have brake press and operating CNC type machine with team work attitude goes a long way as well. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Tempe, AZ

Pay Range: $21.75 - $22.50 hourly DOE and Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd and 3rd shifts

What's the Job?

• Use computerized manufacturing technologies or related systems to meet production and customer requirements.
• Perform set-up duties on fabrication equipment and the safety devices in accordance with production documentation.
• Position production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.
• Operate and adjusts various equipment, including controllers, and edits programs according to production documentation.
• Meet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Comply with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.
• Ensure that products and systems meet CADDY quality standards.
• Inspects work to ensure proper dimensional requirements are met per prints.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance procedures, and assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems.
• Take action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.
• Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Preferred
• Minimum of One Year Prior Experience in Machine Operating
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
• Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
• Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
• Skills or ability in mechanical repairs or troubleshooting
• Fork truck licensed or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.
