LPN - Behavioral Health Specialist

Position Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Behavioral Health department, you'll provide essential care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, while adhering to your scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the assessment of patients, ensuring their well-being.
• Deliver direct nursing care in line with our established policies and protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and provide therapeutic services.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources.
• Demonstrate professional nursing standards and uphold ethical practices in all interactions.
• Maintain a safe and alert environment while providing care.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background.

Experience:

• No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates!

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively through speech.
• Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, keyboard usage, and use of vision and hearing.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the appropriate state authority.

Work Schedule:

Night Shift, full-time (36 hours per week)
