Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a CRNA Anesthesia for a locum tenens job in Salem, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Anesthesia

• 40 hours per week

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call: None – no nights, weekends, or call
• Primary Role: Standard OR anesthesia coverage under medical direction with anesthesiologists

Candidate Requirements

• Board Status: Board Eligible/Board Certified
• Certification: Active NBCRNA certification required for hospital credentialing
• Experience: Open to recent graduates; spinal experience preferred but not required
• Procedures Required:
  • General Surgery
  • Endoscopy
  • Gynecology
  • Orthopedics (including spine, total joints)
  • Robotics (DaVinci)
  • Urology
  • OB anesthesia
  • Cath Lab & IR Lab
• Not Required: Cardiac, epidural, or peripheral nerve blocks

Practice Details

• Setting: Main/General ORs; specialized providers may float as needed
• Care Team Model: CRNAs working under anesthesiologist medical direction
• Support Staff: RNs, Certified Surgical Technologists, limited Licensed Surgical Assistants (no APPs outside physician practices)
• Volume: 25–35 OR cases per day
• Facility: 11 ORs + 2 cardiac ORs
• Trauma: Level II (in process)
• Case Mix:
  • DaVinci robotics
  • Total joints
  • General surgery
  • GYN, breast, plastics
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Pediatric dental
  • OB/L&D
  • Pain management
  • CVOR (only for select CRNAs with specialized training)
• EMR: Paper charting system (no EMR)
