Low-Volume Community Hospital | 12-Hour Shifts | Long-Term Coverage

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians (ABEM/AOBEM) for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in northern New England.

This assignment offers low patient volume, manageable pace, and the chance to practice high-quality medicine in one of New Hampshire’s most scenic lake regions.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Wolfeboro, New Hampshire
• Specialty: Emergency Medicine (Physician)
• Start Date: January 31, 2026
• Contract Length: Long-term (6+ months, ongoing)
• Shifts: 12-hour Day & Night Shifts | 7a–7p & 7p–7a
• Monthly Shift Availability: ~20 shifts per month
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Hospital Size: 25 inpatient beds | 14 ED beds
• Annual Volume: ~11,800 visits per year (?1 patient/hour)

Position Details

• Coverage Model: Physician-led department with APP support
• Trauma Level: No trauma designation
• Average Patient Volume: 1.03 patients/hour
• Team Environment: Collaborative care team with nursing and APC support
• Procedures: Standard ED procedures expected

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification: ABEM or AOBEM (Required)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent emergency medicine experience
• Licensure: Active New Hampshire license preferred (IMLC accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• DEA: Active & unrestricted
• Privileges: Temporary privileges available | Credentialing timeline based on file and need
• Supervision: Responsible for supervising APPs during shift
