Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians (EM/IM/FM with ED experience) for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina. This need comes with immediate stability, predictable scheduling, and a supportive emergency team environment.

Opportunity Highlights

• Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term (6+ months)
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Monthly Commitment: 14 shifts/month
• Support Model: Physician on days, APP overnight coverage
• Travel: Covered

Emergency Department Profile

• Annual Volume: 4,380 visits
• Beds: 16 ED Beds | 12 Hospital Beds
• Patient Volume: ~1 patient/hour
• Trauma Designation: No trauma designation
• EMR: Meditech Magic
• Staffing: Physician 7a–7p | APP 7p–7a
• Supervision: APP support model
• Backup Coverage: Full hospital team including Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pathology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Radiology, Urology, and Vascular Surgery

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification/Eligibility: ABEM/AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM/AOBIM with active ED experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (ATLS/PALS preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year EM experience; clean file preferred
• Licensure: Active NC Medical License or in-process (hospital will support pending license applications)
