About The Position

Location: New Jersey
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation | 24-hour coverage
Setting: Hospital-based acute care | Level 2 Trauma Center
EMR: Cerner
Onsite Lab & Imaging Available

Position Overview:

Join a high-acuity hospital setting as a GI locum providing full-spectrum inpatient and clinical GI services. This opportunity is ideal for a physician skilled in advanced procedures including ERCP & EUS.

You'll alternate coverage weekly with another provider across two campuses, maintaining consistent patient care while enjoying downtime during off weeks.

What You'll Handle:

15-20 clinic patients/day | ~5 inpatient consults/day
ERCP & EUS required
PEG, colonoscopy, upper/lower endoscopy
Variceal banding, biopsies, GI bleeder control
Small bowel biopsy, esophageal manometry, sigmoidoscopy

You'll Need:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology - REQUIRED

• NJ Medical License - Preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Advanced GI procedure experience - ERCP & EUS REQUIRED

• Comfort working in a Level 2 trauma center

• Cerner EMR experience - Preferred
