Psychiatry Locums Physician - Near Houston, Texas - No Call or Weekends

Adult corrections psychiatry opportunity in Texas, near Houston.

Highlights:

• No call and no weekends
• Long-term, consistent work available
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry
• Flexible weekday hours

Practice Setting:

• Adult male correctional facility (low custody levels)
• General population patients only
• Mix of outpatient consults and inpatient care
• Provide supervision to psychiatric mid-levels

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, full-time
• 8a-5p standard; some flexibility available
• Early fall start; credentialing 60-90 days

Cases and Procedures:

• Psychiatric, physical, and neuro evaluations
• Involuntary treatment review participation
• No forensic experience required
• About 5 encounters/day

Requirements:

• MD or DO, BC/BE in Psychiatry (within 5 years)
• Texas license preferred, open to IMLC psychiatrists
• BLS and DEA required

Travel Accommodations:

• All-inclusive rate; covers airfare, lodging, rental car, mileage
