Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist provides diagnostic sonographic examinations for patients of all ages, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan. This role requires technical proficiency in general and vascular or cardiac ultrasound modalities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform sonographic examinations on all requested body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
Apply professional judgment and radiation protection principles during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure quality assurance standards for the department are met.
Transfer patients to and from imaging as needed.
Rotate shifts as required and assume department responsibility in supervisor’s absence.
Assist with invasive ultrasound procedures and maintain the care of equipment, including transducers and Trophon stations.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
Certification: Current ARDMS certification in at least one category (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular Technology, or Cardiac Sonography).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year performing diagnostic sonographic exams.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
