WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Surgical Technologist a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Manchester, CT.  

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 5x8.
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.    
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.  
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.  Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.  
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.  
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient.  

Job Requirements:  

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.   
• Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).   
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association).   
• Minimum of 2  years experience required, 5 years preferred as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.
