Local Contract Surgical Technologist - $44-46 per hour

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Holmdel, NJ.  

Job Function:  

• Evening Shift.
• 5x8: 3am - 11pm.
• Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.  
• Prepare patients for surgery as requested. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.    
• Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.  
• Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.    
• Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed.

Job Requirements:  

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.    
• Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).  
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association).
• 2-3 years experience as a OR Surgical Technician- Required.
