Position Overview

MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract opportunity at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Gainesville, Texas. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech therapy services to adult and geriatric residents, supporting communication, cognition, and swallowing functions in a long-term care setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with physician orders
Provide therapy sessions based on clinical goals and resident needs
Educate residents, families, and facility staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies
Monitor therapy outcomes and adjust plans as needed

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active SLP license in the state of Texas
Excellent communication, clinical, and documentation skills
