RRT Respiratory Therapy Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:00). Weekend shifts are based on department needs, mostly every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our respiratory therapy team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care in various settings, including adult critical care and emergency departments. Responsibilities will include airway management, ventilator management, and delivering oxygen therapy to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform airway management and suctioning techniques, including nasal and oral suctioning.
• Provide tracheostomy care and assist with extubation and intubation.
• Collect sputum specimens and administer oxygen therapy via various devices.
• Manage ventilator settings, wean patients from mechanical ventilation, and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Utilize nebulization techniques for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a respiratory therapy setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• NBRC certification required.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
