Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Napa, CA 94558

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 40 Hours, M-F but flexible, i.e., Tues-Sat 

Duties:

• Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out treatment plans for patients.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities.
• Apply physical therapy modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation under supervision.
• Monitor patients’ responses during therapy sessions and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
• Help patients use assistive devices (walkers, crutches, wheelchairs) correctly.
• Document treatment provided and patient performance in medical records.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Provide encouragement and motivation to patients throughout rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care plans.
• Follow all professional, ethical, and facility guidelines.
