🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care and supervise support staff (CNA/Tech)
• Make clinical decisions independently during your shift
• Triage, treat, and document care for patients across the lifespan
• Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, departments, and patient families
• Document thoroughly in EMR, including admissions, transfers, discharges
• Serve as a resource for new staff and contribute to department improvement
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with hospital policies

✅ Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or Diploma)
• Active RN license (Alaska or any U.S. state – AK license must be in process for direct hires)
• Certifications (Required):
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA) – or obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Clinical Competency (within 3 months)
  • High Risk Competency (within 3 months, then annually)
• Preferred:
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Emergency Department experience
  • Acute care or long-term care experience
