Postpartum Mother-Baby Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Postpartum Mother-Baby RN to join our nursing team. This role focuses on providing high-quality, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, compassionate care, and strong communication skills to support recovery, bonding, and education for new families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing assessments of both mother and newborn during the postpartum stay
• Monitor vital signs, physical and emotional recovery, and signs of complications
• Provide education on newborn care, breastfeeding, and maternal self-care
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and the broader care team
• Administer medications and manage postpartum pain effectively
• Ensure safe discharge planning and provide follow-up care instructions

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Postpartum, Mother-Baby, or related women’s health specialty
• Current BLS certification (additional certifications such as NRP preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Training in lactation support or newborn care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
