WCS is seeking an RN for the Psych Unit on a local contract at a prestigious hospital in Manchester, CT.

Job Function:

• Day Shift.
• 5x8.

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care by assessing, monitoring, and documenting patients’ mental and physical health status.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians’ orders and established psychiatric protocols.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and physicians.

• Monitor and manage patient safety, including identifying behavioral changes, de-escalating crises, and responding to emergencies.

• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, coping strategies, and post-discharge care.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).  
• Current RN license for the state of Connecticut.
• 2 years of PSYCH RN experience is required.  
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
